At Gateland Drive, the clients were looking to rationalise their spread out family space and utilise the loft room above the garage. The brief also wanted to keep the visuals of a garage but use the space for storage and habitable rooms.
As the rear of the property is South facing we made the most of the light, designing the main family area in an orangery. The playroom now has a direct link to the family which was very important to the clients.
With lifting the roof over the garage, and changing from a hip to gable, we gained space to create a stunning master bedroom suite alongside increase space in a irregular shaped box room.
